Changing the design holders details

The design holder's details may well change as a result of a relocation, a change of name of the holder or the transfer of the design registration to a third party. These changes need to be recorded in order to ensure that the protection of your designs remains valid. In any event, it must be evident who the design holder is.

Although it is not strictly necessary in all cases to submit documentary evidence of the change when the change is recorded in the various design registers, it is nevertheless advisable to submit such evidence in order to establish beyond doubt that the correct change has been recorded.
